Gear & Packing

Pack smart, not heavy. The right gear makes every part of a trip easier.

Overpacking is one of the most common travel regrets. A tighter, smarter packing list means less to carry and more room to bring things home.

Smarter Packing

  • Use packing cubes. — They compress your clothes and make it easy to find things without unpacking your entire bag.
  • Pack in layers, not bulk. — A few versatile layers handle more weather scenarios than one heavy jacket.
  • Try to go carry-on only. — It’s faster through airports and means you never have to worry about lost luggage.
  • Bring a universal adapter and a power bank. — Cheap insurance against a dead phone on a long travel day.
  • Leave room for souvenirs. — Pack your bag about 80% full on the way out so there’s space to bring things home.
  • Do a “wear once, use twice” check. — Before packing anything, ask if it serves more than one purpose on the trip.
